‘Size and confidence’: Baron Oil focuses on appraisal well and funding for offshore gas project

The operator of a large undeveloped offshore gas discovery in Timor-Leste is focused on drilling an appraisal well and is discussing funding options with a number of potential partners.

UK-listed company Baron Oil, which holds a 75% interest in the Chuditch production sharing contract, said it has selected a preferred appraisal well drilling location 4.8 kilometres from the Chuditch-1 discovery well.
